The Annual General Meeting is on Monday, November 19, 2018. The presentation begins at 1:00 PM. This year’s theme is Bruce County’s Germanic pioneer families, and our speaker is Diane Strickler, Archivist for the Maryhill Historical Society. Diane’s presentation is titled ‘My Adventure into the Past’. She has done extensive research on the early families who settled in Waterloo Township, many of whom then migrated to Bruce County, establishing much of the growing German population of Bruce. Diane recently received an award from the Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation for her work.
