June 2021 Webinar

Bruce County Genealogical Society Invites you to a Webinar Making the Walls’ Talk: Adventures in House History On June 14th 2021 at 7pm EDT

Houses and properties hold many stories about their owners and tenants. They are a forgotten resource history hunters fail to deeply explore. Bricks and mortar can often lead the way past many family history roadblocks.  Even for those not yet interested in family history, properties hold compelling tales of past events – be you owner, renter, business or new community member.

Our Speaker, Jodi Jerome, MA Public History, is a professional writer, researcher and speaker with a curiosity and fascination with the connections between buildings and local history. With 3 books, hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles, 6 years as a columnist of If These Walls Could Talk in the local Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth Boomers magazines and multiple community history events, Jodi has various strategies and resources she’s found to make the walls talk. Join her as she shares her adventures (and sources).
