The Bruce County Genealogical Society’s mandate is to keep the lives of our County Ancestors alive, to assist those of you researching your own ancestors, to find all that there is to know about your family. The Archives and Reading Room, upstairs in the Bruce County Museum in Southampton and full of history, is a good place for you to begin. Any of our members will be happy to tell you about what they have found of interest to their family trees in the Archives. Ask the staff what records are available for you to peruse.

Research Library and Archives

The Bruce County Archives is part of the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. It is located at 33 Victoria Street, Southampton, Ontario. The contact number is (519) 797-2080, ext. 129, and is open during museum hours.

The Bruce County Genealogical Society’s research collection, the Audrey Webster Underwood Collection library, is also housed in the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre. It is open during museum hours.
